Other Features
In addition to the previous, the new Books In Print will offer query enhancements (did you mean?) as well the incorporation of deep searching of full-text content including Annotations & Summaries, Tables of Contents and Bowker’s Fiction Profiles. This content will be searched in addition to traditional content such as title, author, subjects, publisher, etc. The benefit of searching full-text content in BooksInPrint.com is that it will help you discover titles that were previously not findable because the traditional bibliographic content does not contain the search terms.
For example, Chaos Theory Tamed by Gannett P. Williams. ISBN 0-309-06351-5. This title does not have the terms “kolmogorov sinai” anywhere in the basic bibliographic content.
But if you look in the tables of contents, you will see that chapter 26 is devoted to that topic. The current Books In Print would never find this item by using the search term “kolmogorov sinai”. The new Books In Print will return this item since it will be searching the tables of contents.
